Legal & Professional Information
Educational Purposes
Information and resources on this website are provided for general informational and educational purposes. Website content is not a substitute for individualized psychotherapy, medical care, psychiatric care, legal advice, or other professional services. It should not be used to diagnose or treat a health or mental health condition without appropriate professional evaluation.
Establishing a Professional Relationship
Viewing this website, sending an email, submitting an inquiry, scheduling an appointment, or downloading a resource does not by itself establish a psychotherapist-client, coach-client, or other professional relationship. A professional relationship begins only after the appropriate consultation or intake process, mutual agreement to work together, and completion of applicable informed-consent and practice requirements.
Licensure & Jurisdiction
Robert Romano is a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist in Connecticut (License No. 009692) and provides psychotherapy when legally permitted based on the client’s location and applicable professional requirements.
Coaching may be a distinct service and kept separate from psychotherapy, although oftentimes coaching is used within the psychotherapeutic relationship. The nature and scope of the professional relationship will be discussed clearly before services begin.
Ketamine, Psychedelic Integration & Harm Reduction
My work involving ketamine and psychedelics is psychotherapeutic in nature and may include assessment, preparation, integration, harm-reduction education, and coordination with other healthcare professionals.
I do not prescribe, dispense, or administer ketamine or other medications. Medical evaluation, prescribing, dosing, administration, medical monitoring, and related treatment decisions remain the responsibility of the appropriate medical clinician.
Psychedelic integration may include psychotherapy following experiences that occurred in clinical, ceremonial, or other settings. Integration and harm-reduction services are intended to support psychological health and informed decision-making; they do not include providing, obtaining, or facilitating access to illegal substances or unlawful activity.
